Tom Seymour’s Foraging Seminars, Workshops & Field Trips

My name is Tom Seymour and I’m a freelance writer, book author, naturalist and forager. My current magazine work includes regular columns for The Maine Sportsman and Maine Food & Lifestyle, as well as regular features in Fisherman’s Voice.

My book credits include Tom Seymour’s Maine, iUniverse Press, Fishing Maine, Lyon’s Press, Wild Plants of Maine and Hidden World Revealed, Just Write Press, Maine Wildlife, a Maine Sportsman publication, Off The Beaten Path, Maine, Globe Pequot Press and Foraging New England, Birding Maine and Hiking Maine, all Falcon Guides.

Also, Spring 2011 will see the release of a forager’s journal, a companion to Wild Plants of Maine. This features my sketches of my favorite wild plants, house and garden tips, brief essays on a wild plant for each month and of course, a blank, universal calendar.

My seminars include, but are not limited to, DVD presentations, question-and-answer sessions, viewing of plant specimens (in season) and plant walks. I’m happy to deal with anyone from couples to large groups. Seminars are available year-round.

Also, My on-site evaluations have become popular and I can visit locations in Waldo, Knox and southern parts of Penobscot and Piscataquis Counties.
